A Beach Photoshoot in South Africa
I have to admit that I’m a bit of a whimp when it comes to the UK winter. I know that it’s never as cold as in other European countries, but I’m always cold and by the time we get to February I’ve had enough of the long hours of darkness, the grey skies, and the rain. So right now, I’m transporting myself back to this Beach Photoshoot in South-Africa. If you feel like me about the season, then I hope these images of sun, sea and sand cheer you up as well!
I love the Eastern Cape coastline near Port Alfred. The beaches are truly stunning and never over-crowded. In fact, the opposite is often true and that makes it a great location for a photoshoot! I was so looking forward to the photoshoot with Ronel and Johan, but we actually had to re-schedule twice because of strong winds and thunderstorms. It was a case of third time lucky, and all of us were so relieved when it turned out to be beautiful afternoon.
We walked down the beach to an area called Clayton’s rock, which is a great place to explore when the tide is low. Once I had taken all the photos there, Johan opened a bottle of bubbly and we sat on the rocks, chatting and keeping our fingers crossed for a lovely sunset. And we got one!! Without a doubt, this is one of my favourite ever photoshoots and I am over the moon that I also won 2 Wedisson awards for the images I submitted.
