Q: We like your work, can we meet you before we decide to book?

A: Yes of course! Everyone is different – some couples have a chat with me over  phone/Skype/Facetime and decide to book, whilst others prefer to meet up for a chat and a coffee. I like the face to face meetings, but completely understand that this is not always possible.

Q: What is the benefit of having a pre-wedding shoot?

A: That’s a great question and I have written a blog about that recently. You can read more about pre-wedding shoots here.

Q: How do you work?

A: For most of the day I will work unobtrusively in the background. I like capturing the actual story of your day and the real moments as they unfold. During your portrait session I may give you a little direction, but this is done in a fun and natural way.

Q: What is the benefit of having a second professional photographer?

A: A second professional photographer will be able to cover groom prep, as well as candid photos of the guests throughout the day. These are photos that I would not be able to capture during the time that I take the group shots and your portraits.

Q: Do you take group shots?

A: Of course! I think they have an important place for grandparents, parents and the younger generations. I suggest you keep them between 5 – 8, as they can take up a fair amount of time. Keep this in mind when planning your day. I would rather have you sipping champagne and having fun with your guests than taking up your time with endless group shots. It is always really helpful when you allocate someone to help with getting the relevant people in place for the next photo. This speeds up the whole process and means you can get back to the party!

Q: What happens after the wedding?

A: A couple of sneak peaks will be available within a few days of your wedding. I will then begin the process of editing your images and it can take between 6 – 8 weeks for me to deliver your images. When your images are ready, you will be sent a link to your own private gallery. You will then receive your USB in a pretty presentation box, and if you have an album package, we will commence with the album design.

Q: Can we print the photos from our USB?

A: Yes, absolutely! You will receive all the images you viewed in your online gallery in a high-resolution, print-ready format. Please make sure that you back up all your images too, as technology changes so fast these days, so it’s always better to have a back-up. Be assured that I also keep back-ups of all your photos.

Q: We got the digital package, but would love an album now. Is it too late?

A: No, of course you can still order an album. The advantage of booking a collection with an album, is that the price is fixed when you book. That said, you can order an album at a later stage. I recommend doing this within 3 months of your wedding, otherwise you will probably never get around do doing it.
